While travelling one can observe many different cultures. Every new city or town you visit is like an own world. Every time you change your location you see people living different in that place according to their climate, economy and culture. You observe how every place works, has an infrastructure, people have jobs, hobbies, friends. Many of them never leaving this place for a long time making it a small world within this town.
You encounter differences in how people act, what drives them and understand their different development if you analyze the different environment they grew up. Maybe having this in your mind makes you look different on all the refugees coming to Europe. Many of these people are highly motivated, just obviously having a hard start. Once they get settled and their new life started the economy can profit from it massively, especially a country like Germany where a demographic change is coming up as people are not having enough kids and are mainly focused on career rather than family.
