Alcohol and its use in society

People being completely drunk, easter representing a big festival and especially a public holiday forming a long weekend for the majority of the society, so everyone gets absolutely wasted, very few get close to Australians, you see how alcohol is consumed in many classes and a broad target group.
This is a drug.
And it is so widely used by people in our society. To numb themselves?
Alcohol is an anaesthetic and so numbs and relaxes muscles. Why do we need this? Why is alcohol the only legal substance to alter our perception massively?
Because it works in society. Other drugs which make you think more, can cause more revolutions and new thoughts whereas alcohol numbs and decreases our thoughts, not doubting much anymore and being satisfied with the intoxicated situation which feels nice as well as then the society which you find as the fundament for you having this life.
To establish a working society allowing alcohol as the only legal drug worked out over many of decades.
This rule then making a (net-)working society is super great on the other side as well. As an individual you can enjoy the many advantages of developed society as the same time as choosing to still take illegal psychoactive drugs (taking the risk as it feels worth it for the experience) for own recreational purpose.
Society never truly limits you, they just want their system to work, what you do in your free time, where the government is not involved (quote from travel note when seeing beauty in humans as soon as government is not involved) you can choose.
