The sosz of life

The wonderful thing that may happen to you while travelling (when you're lucky) is being able to forget all the problems and everything else around you. Don't think about anything else anymore, not a single thing, because nothing, really nothing matters more, only the moment you are observing in that second, lying on the street, in the middle of nowhere, stargazing the whole night and enjoy every bit of your life and time.
This is what they call freedom. It is only you and the outback, nobody else for hundreds of kilometres, you can do whatever you want, living young, wild and free.

Notes:
We're not the cool kids from home smoking joints and getting high anymore, we are now actually doing it in Australia, next to a lake in the middle of nowhere, camping and enjoying the largest freedom one can experience.
But then! We look at the "Kleiner Wagen" and call to home, we connect our former "cool kids smoking" experience to the one now in Australia. Now in Australia is what we call our home. The back of a car, a thin mattress on wood boards, lots of stuff everywhere, a chain of light hanging all over us and of course always some good nice music playing.
And so we connect with the place where home used to be a couple months ago.
We are not that different, still young, wild and free, just now at the more adventurous and exciting place.

Do you remember when you were a kid? You woke up and enjoyed your day, got good food from your parents, played with other children.
You questioned things, a lot of them - but in a smaller circle. You already wondered why some small things are like they are but obviously could not find any answer yet. You did not think about anything happening in the future since you were just enjoying the moment itself so much. Your future and past did not even exist because you were not able to think about it. That is something we in our daily have to include. Live and enjoy the moment as it is without any further thinking.

All the thoughts which were overcoming us while this trip have been chosen in connection with a song. That means the songs -obviously together with the environment (roadtrip, outback life) - were guiding us to those thoughts. We would like to thank all the artists of these songs for influencing/enlightening us in such a way. Your songs gave us the ideas for many of the thoughts which were described in this book.

Time is relative in the outback. On the long roads, everything looks the same, you're driving, driving, always seeing that white line on the street. We experience so much joy in these moments, the time feels quite short. On the other hand, the evenings - especially because we had not much to do and have some nice herbs - felt so incredibly long but still very joyable.

Sun (weather in general) influences the vibe
