Lots of people use public transport. In a big city it is often the easiest and maybe even fastest form of transportation. So you have to be at work early in the morning, jump into a train with lots of other tired faces around you. You turn on some music, enjoy a few minutes to wake up, to relax and enjoy the rising sun. Still hearing the dull train sound in the background and seeing people changing every station.
You concentrate on the meaningful music, what your eyes see and start analysing. A couple of weeks ago you were in the Australian outback, completely isolated and human life had totally different standard and value. Now seeing so many individuals at once makes you think. Think about them, what they might work, where they might live, what kind of people they surround themselves with in their free time.
Everyone you see has an own life. Everyone is an individual with their own experiences, own thoughts, own actions and yet sitting in the same train next to you. They know different people, have a different family and still are the same as you are - they are human.
Some you see them smiling, some you see crying, some you see fighting or enjoying life or just in thoughts.
It does not stop with this, out of the train, after finishing work you walk through the streets of this massive city and CBD with hundreds of people around you. The sounds are overwhelming once you focus on them. All around you people are talking, living their own life, you are right next to them but still do not know a single bit. Walking to destinations they chose to go. You hear the tram, the tram driver working, the construction sites, with lots of labourers still working on their shift, the waiter in the cafe serving people, staff in retail stores talking to customers, some talking on their phone making business. People driving in their cars being stressed out because they just finally want to be home after a long work day. In a city you cannot escape from the busy stressy life, and still it is very interesting to see how everybody has their own individual concept of life, handling it in their own yet similar way.
Right now you are maybe sitting or walking next to someone, the following moments your ways split apart and you will probably never see that person again.
Big cities are anonymous and human life has not much value, there are too many people on too less space, you are just another number in society and really have to stand out with something to be someone special otherwise you are replaced the second you are gone. There are many ways to achieve that and it gives your own life a deeper meaning as you are then not just someone.
At some point, seeing all those people living kind of the same life you realise what you want to do. You cannot escape from it, you are already in it, the busy everyone’s life, but you can reach for something higher, make an impact and be a little different than anybody else. Create something that is there to last, something people will implement in their life and remember your’s because of it. Make an impact to the better, so the world is a little different because you lived, yo worked, you created.
Find something you yourself are genuinely convinced of and go all out for this dream this vision.
